Diamond Katana
Tayside Aviation originally owned four low wing 2-seater Katana aircraft, which were fundamentally used for Flying scholarship training. Due to the recent acquistion of four Grob 115D, Tayside Aviation have disposed of three of their Katana fleet but still have one available.
Many Private Pilot Licence holders have taken advantage of the chance to convert onto this type of aircraft. The aircraft is classed as a ‘stick and bubble’. This name derives from the ‘stick’ which is used to direct and control the aircraft and the ‘bubble’ which is the cock-pit.
