ANOTHER STEP FORWARD |
|||
| The
requirement to have a complex aircraft for the modular JAR Commercial Pilots
Licence (CPL) flying course has been addressed by the purchase of a Piper
Arrow IV to complement the Piper Warriors (above) which will be used for
the first part of the 25 hour modular JAR CPL course.
JAR CPL flying courses are now available at Perth where JAR CPL flying courses have been conducted by Tayside Aviation in recent years. Perth is an ideal location for this training with unrestricted airspace, multiple runways, first class teaching accommodation, no landing fees, on site overnight accommodation and a CAA examiner based on the airfield. On
successful completion of the JAR CPL course, the next step to consider
would be to take the JAR Flying Instructor (Restricted) course with Tayside
Aviation. Candidates who complete the JAR FI course with Tayside Aviation may be offered employment as Flying Instructors at one of the three company locations Dundee, Perth or Fife (Glenrothes) Airports. This can lead to inclusion in the RAF/RN Flying Scholarship Scheme once 50 instructional hours have been logged and after a successful flight test with an RAF Central Flying School examiner has been successfully completed. Tayside Aviation is the UK prime contractor for the RAF/RN Flying Scholarship Scheme which requires (each year) 520 potential Pilots and ground branch Officers to be provided with 20 hours of flying training over an eighteen day residential course. The first time pass rate for JAR CPL General Flight Tests and Flying Instructor tests in recent years has been in excess of 80%. For Further information on JAR CPL and JAR FI training please contact Shona Thomson or Sandy Torrance on Perth (01738) 553357 it could be the best career move you could make. |
