Hour Building Packages

In response to a number of requests for reduced flying rates for hour building as an alternative to flying in the United States, and because Tayside Aviation has surplus Cessna 152 capacity, as a result of the reduction in the number of RAF Flying Scholarships being awarded this year, hour building packages are now available.

These could be flown in Cessna 152s from Dundee, Glenrothes or Perth, and although the hours can be flown at any time including evenings, preference will be given to customers paying the normal rates at weekends.
The hour building packages are for PPL holders and only apply for solo flying - any training or check flights will be charged at the normal rates.

The flying should be taken within the timeframe for each package noted below, although there will be flexibility if adverse weather or aircraft availability result in booked flights being postponed.

The packages must be paid in advance and existing credit balances cannot be used for any hour building packages. If the hours in each package are not flown and a refund is requested, the actual hours flown will be charged at the normal rates and the adjusted credit balance refunded.

The three packages comprise:

25 Hours for £1999 = £79.96 per hour

50 Hours for £3499 = £69.98 per hour

75 Hours for £4499 = £59.98 per hour

The packages should be flown within the following timeframes:

25 Hours in three months

50 Hours in six months

75 Hours in nine months

The rates quoted include VAT and landing fees at Dundee, Perth and Fife(Glenrothes) Airports.

The advantages of hour building with Tayside Aviation are that the company has a 35 year pedigree with a good track record, familiarisation with the area which may be used for the modular CPL flying course, aircraft maintained to JAR 145 standard, no transatlantic air fares or accomodation costs, supervised navigation exercises along the CPL skilltest routes and a friendly efficient service.
