PPL for everyone
Tayside Aviation has students as young as 14 and as long as you can meet the criteria for the PPL, the sky's the limit! People from every walk of life are at present, and have in the past, trained with Tayside Aviation, where the training is second to none, as testified by our students.

Our enthusiastic and helpful staff will make you welcome as soon as you enter our facilities. They are there to answer your questions and put your mind at rest. Our current client base includes both men increasing numbers of women.

Training
The majority of our training is carried out on Cessna 152 aircraft but other types are available. These include Cessna 172, Piper Warrior, Grob 115d and Piper Arrow aircraft.

Packages
We offer different packages (starter & continuation packs) to allow you to pay for your licence. These packages include all home-based landings (you normally pay a fee to an airport to land), briefings and examinations (except your navigation and skills test which normally costs £120).

Member
The only other stipulation that is placed on you is that you are a member of one of the Flying Clubs, which covers you for insurance and gives you use of the facilities.

PPL
The European (JAR) Private Pilot's Licence is a comprehensive course, which will enable you to attain your licence. This licence will take a minimum of 45 hours to achieve. Young PPL students can start to 'log' hours towards their licence at the age of 14 but the CAA insist that they are 16 before they take their first solo flight.

Price for full PPL Pack
The PPL full course costs £6499. This packages provides the best rate to pay for your Private Pilots Licence.
